ကျွန်တော်- ဒီမိုကရေစီ သွားမယ်လို့ပြောနေရင် သတင်းလွတ်လပ်ခွင့်တော့ရှိရမှာပေါ့။ တိုက်အိမ် လို့ပြောရင် အုတ်နံရံ၊ သွပ်မိုး ဆိုတဲ့ အင်္ဂါရပ်နဲ့တော့ ပြည့်စုံရမယ်။ ဝါး ထရံကာ ၊ ဓနိမိုးကို လက်ညှိုးထိုးပြီး တိုက်အိမ် လို့ ပြောရင်တော့ ဘယ်သူမှ လက်ခံမှာမဟုတ် ဘူး။
သူငယ်ချင်း- မင်းတို့ မီဒီယာတွေကို လွှတ်ပေးလို့ လူတွေက မီဒီယာတွေပြောသမ ျှယုံပြီး ဟိုဘက် ပါသွားတာ၊ မင်းတို့လည်း တာဝန်ရှိတယ်။
ကျွန်တော်- ဒါဆိုရင် နှစ်နှစ်ဆယ်ကျော်လောက် မီဒီယာတွေကို ထိန်းချုပ်ထားပြီး ငါတို့ပဲ ပြောချင် တာ ပြောလာခဲ့တာ လူတွေက ဘာလို့ ငါတို့ပြောတာကို မယုံတာလဲ လို့ ပြန်စဉ်းစား ကြည့်ပါလား၊ မီဒီယာတွေရေးတာတစ်ခုတည်းကြောင့်တော့ မဟုတ်လောက်ဘူး။

Burmese people have lost faith in the Myanmar military. Before, not many people (especially in the cities) know what happened in the remote ethnic areas. Examples include villages being burned, women being raped, and forced labour as a porter (ပေါ်တာဆွဲ၊ ချောဆွဲ). People also don’t know much about the “disappearance” or extrajudicial “deaths” during Ne Win (မဆလ), Than Shwe’s era (example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sao_Kya_Seng).
Ironically because of the relative freedom during Thein Sein and NLD governments, people in the last decade have learned a lot about military abuses during the past 60/70 years.
I don’t think the military will ever be able to do damage control as long as the current leaders are in power. The hatred of probably 90% of the people in Burma towards the military will be difficult to be neutralized by propaganda alone. Today’s is the era of IT and mobile phones.
